Job Description For the 26/27 school year, beginning August 2026, Spaulding High School is seeking a Student Support Specialist to work with high school students who present social emotional challenges. The Student Support Specialist works with teaching and counseling staff to support students' academic and social emotional needs through a collaborative problem solving process.

Bachelor’s degree (preferred) in education, counseling, mental health and/or a related field. 3-5 years experience working in an educational setting with youth. Background knowledge and skills in areas such as reality therapy, social thinking, positive behavior response interventions, conflict resolution and restorative justice. Ability to draw from a variety of resources to plan lessons related to social skills and other behaviors that put students at risk.

Pay range

is $24.44 - $34.30/hour based on previous experience as a BI or equivalent. This position also comes with a full benefits package. Position Type: Full-Time Salary: $24.44 to $34.30 Per Hour Job Categories: Special Education > Behavior Specialist / EBD
