Family Educator: Fatherhood Focus A position coordinating Fatherhood/Male Engagement for Head Start Families with children birth-5 yrs.

Work directly with families, staff, and community agencies to promote involvement of fathers and father figures in all aspects of their child�s development and education. This position will focus on increasing male participation, supporting positive relationships and parenting practices, and promoting overall family well-being.

Education

Requirements Associate's degree required. Bachelor�s degree preferred. Experience: At least one (1) year of direct experience facilitating fatherhood/male engagement programs, groups, and/or individual coaching required. Experience in early childhood education, family engagement, or community advocacy preferred. Qualities: Ability and willingness to work as a team member.

Ability to maintain and adhere to boundary guidelines. Ability to work in a diverse workplace. Skills: Computer Literacy: Word Processing and Database skills. Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution skills. Effective communication skills, verbally and in writing. Ability to make independent decisions when needed.

Ability to network and effectively communicate the benefits of a Head Start experience to prospective families, community leaders, and agencies. Pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 119, Section 51A, the Family Educator position is a mandated reporter and held to the statutory reporting requirements. Additional Requirements Dependable transportation, including necessary automobile insurance, is required.

Maintain current valid driver�s license.
