Structural Shop Foreman

We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Steel Shop Foreman to join our structural fabrication shop, FEI, LTD . in Natural Bridge Station, VA . This role is responsible for overseeing daily fabrication operations and ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality workflow. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical knowledge and a commitment to safety and production excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily shop operations, including material receiving, storage, and workflow coordination Assign and delegate work to shop personnel, ensuring proper training and competency Monitor material flow to align with fabrication schedules and minimize downtime Ensure parts, materials, and equipment are available and ready for production Maintain shop equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation Conduct new hire orientations focused on safety and job responsibilities Lead shop operations in the absence of the Plant Manager, including: Reviewing drawings and new jobs Managing shop schedules Facilitating weekly toolbox safety meetings Coordinating with internal teams (Production Control, PMs, Purchasing, Payroll, etc.)

Perform quality control checks in accordance with company standards Work Environment & Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
