Northeast Bank provides competitive compensation and benefits, including generous PTO. If you are looking for a growing organization that prioritizes its employees, we encourage you to apply.
POSITION SUMMARY
Serves as the Banking Center’s primary internal sales and relationship-development professional, proactively identifying opportunities to grow deposits, deepen customer relationships, and increase the number of customers who consider Northeast Bank their primary financial institution. Uses a consultative approach to maximize every customer interaction, understand financial needs, and recommend appropriate consumer and business deposit solutions.
Provides exceptional customer service, consistently asks for referrals, supports new-customer onboarding and ongoing relationship engagement, and works collaboratively with the Banking Center team to achieve customer growth, retention, sales, service, and operational goals. Provides transactional and account-servicing support, including teller-line assistance as needed, while maintaining operational excellence and full compliance with Bank policies and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales and Service Maintains a high level of knowledge and understanding of the Bank’s products, services, sales processes, and relationship-management tools. Proactively identifies and acts on opportunities to grow consumer and business deposits, deepen existing relationships, and establish Northeast Bank as the customer’s primary financial institution.
Maximizes every customer interaction by using purposeful discovery questions, reviewing available customer information, identifying unmet needs, and recommending appropriate financial solutions. Cultivates trusted customer relationships, provides exceptional service, and builds strong rapport by delivering timely advice and solutions that help customers achieve their financial goals.
Consistently asks satisfied customers for referrals and follows up on leads and identified opportunities to acquire new relationships and expand existing ones. Owns the full customer experience from initial greeting through resolution or follow-up, rotating between the sales and service platform and teller line as needed and ensuring a seamless Banking Center visit.
Delivers effective new-customer onboarding and ongoing engagement by confirming account setup, introducing relevant capabilities and services, completing scheduled follow-up, and identifying opportunities to expand the relationship. Responds promptly and accurately to customer inquiries, resolves issues professionally and efficiently, and follows through to confirm customer satisfaction.
Conducts targeted customer outreach, appointment setting, and lead follow-up to generate deposit growth and relationship-deepening opportunities, with primary emphasis on opportunities developed from within the Banking Center and existing customer base. Maintains accurate and timely documentation of customer needs, sales activities, referrals, follow-up commitments, and outcomes in designated Bank systems.
Achieves individual sales, service, referral, deposit-growth, and relationship-deepening goals while contributing to overall Banking Center performance. Represents the Bank in a manner that maintains and expands positive relationships with customers, prospective customers, and colleagues. Answers and assists incoming callers with questions and requests and routes callers appropriately.
When Banking Center staffing warrants, processes retail and commercial financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and check-cashing transactions. Records all transactions promptly and accurately and in compliance with established Bank policies and procedures. Maintains and balances an adequate cash drawer in accordance with Bank policy, including buying and selling currency from the vault and periodically batching cashed checks.
As needed, assists in ordering, receiving, verifying, and distributing cash and, as directed, balances and replenishes cash in the ATM. Participates in other activities as directed and serves as a backup in the absence of the Banking Center Manager for delegated duties. Complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and with Northeast Bank policies and procedures.
Successfully pass technical and regulatory training required by the Bank. Teamwork and Collaboration Works collaboratively with the Banking Center team to achieve shared deposit growth, relationship deepening, referral, service, and operational goals and contributes to a positive, accountable sales and service culture.
Shares customer insights, coordinates handoffs, and communicates follow-up commitments so team members and internal partners can provide a seamless customer experience. Provides peer coaching, product knowledge, and constructive feedback as appropriate and recognizes team successes in customer service, relationship development, and sales performance.
Community Development Supports Bank-sponsored community activities and Banking Center events as assigned, representing the Bank professionally and helping convert event interactions into customer follow-up and relationship opportunities. Partners with the Banking Center Manager on external business-development opportunities while maintaining primary focus on internal sales, customer engagement, deposit growth, and relationship deepening within the Banking Center.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: High school diploma or equivalent. Five years or more of retail banking, financial services, or sales and service experience preferred. Demonstrated success as an individual sales contributor achieving sales goals, growing deposits, deepening relationships, and developing long-term, high-value customer relationships.

Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership for individual results and the ability to identify and act on sales opportunities without waiting for direction, maintaining consistent follow through, and is adaptable to change.
Excellent customer service, communication, listening, relationship-building, and diplomacy skills when working with customers and colleagues.
