Job Role Description The Advanced Technologist is expected to apply technical skills, knowledge of technology objectives, and leadership skills to:- Design and deliver differentiated product technologies that meet defined business and customer performance targets by applying advanced technical expertise and problem-solving.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure delivery across finished fluids, services, and solutions beyond the molecule.- Execute complex work and deliver technology solutions.- Develop and maintain strong working knowledge of core technology fundamentals within assigned areas, applying this expertise to drive effective project execution and continuous improvement.
This role is expected to effectively collaborate, interact, and communicate with partners. The Advanced Technologist will start developing key leadership skills to facilitate the transition from an individual contributor to a technical leader. Job Role Responsibilities Competitive Intelligence: Research, understand, and articulate technology trends, standards, customer requirements, and competitive threats- Provide actionable market back insights and opportunity identification.
Technology Development / Deployment: Define and oversee project profiles, deliverables, and timing- Lead projects from profile definition to commercial launch, including formulation finalization and roll-out support to other functions across the LVC- Develop test plans, review data, and conduct analysis to define lead technical solutions aligned with product profile / deliverable expectations- Determine technical readiness for product release- Incorporate COGS and LVC analysis into developments to achieve the most competitive technical and commercial outcome- Support technical input into business processes to prioritize execution and launch solutions.
Customer Relationship Management: Understand customer needs by working with the business and directly with customers as applicable. Establish, sustain, and enhance trustful technical relationships with OEMs and suppliers. Technical Knowledge Development: Work towards improvement in understanding of formulation fundamentals and lubricant applications.
Resource Leveraging: Leverage support resources for efficient solution delivery. Process Compliance: Actively use and comply with internal processes and systems. Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on projects to relevant stakeholders and communicate changes in deliverables / timing. Collaboration and Communication: Interact proactively and facilitate communication and collaboration within the LVC technical community.
