We currently have an opportunity for a Forklift Operator at our Winchester, VA durum milling and pasta production facility, where we produce Dakota Growers pasta.
The Forklift Operator is a critical part of our warehouse team, responsible for shipping, storing, and receiving inventory as well as providing sanitation support for the entire warehouse.
Responsibilities
Operate forklift to load, unload, and transfer products, pallets, boxes, and other materials within the warehouse and into trucks and/or railcars acc ording to shipping schedule; o perate other equipment for shipping, as needed Maintain accurate inventory while storing and loadin g, p ractic ing first in/first out Monitor all equipment for wear and potential damage, and perform related preventative maintenance as required Maintain Master Sanitation Schedules and other HAACP documentation , performing scheduled cleaning of equipment Re-palletize and rework products , and p repare products for regrind process Maintain safety and quality in a high - paced environment Qualifications: H igh school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed Preferred Qualifications: E xperience operating a forklift E xperience in a food manufacturing facility Physical Requirements: Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation: Crouch, stoop, reach above shoulders, bend, balance, climb, work on ladder, push, pull, grasp, feel, perform fine manipulation, operate foot pedals, lift/carry, sit, stand and walk for extended periods Work in a dusty, high heat/humid environment and confined spaces
