Job Overview: Job Summary:** Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites, primarily focusing on civil infrastructure projects, to support Primoris Services Corporation's operational needs. Job Responsibilities:** * Operate various types of heavy civil construction equipment, including excavators, dozers, loaders, motor graders, compactors, and other related machinery, according to project specifications and safety protocols.

  • Perform pre-operation inspections of equipment, including checking fluid levels, tires, and controls, and report any maintenance issues or defects to supervisors. * Conduct routine maintenance tasks on equipment, such as greasing, cleaning, and minor adjustments, as directed. * Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and other construction documents to ensure accurate equipment operation and project execution. * Grade, level, and compact earth, rock, and other materials according to project plans and specifications. * Load and unload materials and equipment as required. * Collaborate effectively with ground crews, supervisors, and other team members to ensure smooth project progression.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment. * Operate equipment in a manner that minimizes environmental impact and adheres to all regulations. Job Qualifications:** * Minimum of 2-5 years of verifiable experience operating heavy civil construction equipment. * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL preferred but not always required.

  • Proven ability to operate a variety of equipment safely and efficiently, including excavators, dozers, and loaders. * Strong understanding of civil construction practices, grading, and earthwork. * Ability to read and interpret construction plans, surveys, and grade stakes. * Knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety regulations. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly. * Physical ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions, including standing, bending, lifting, and operating heavy machinery for extended periods. * Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime, as project demands require.
