  • WFO Full Time UK Shift: 2:30 PM IST - 11:30 PM IST 8+ Years of exp Role Summary The Revenue Accounting Manager will be responsible for revenue accounting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP, including ASC 606. This role will lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end revenue close processes, perform financial analysis, and collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Sales, and Legal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and sound accounting practices. The Revenue Manager will also support audits, process improvements, and strategic finance initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end revenue close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. Prepare month-end and quarter-end analytical reviews, variance (flux) analyses, and management reports to support financial reporting. Research and analyze complex revenue recognition matters and document appropriate accounting conclusions in accordance with ASC 606 and US GAAP.

Review customer contracts to determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment, including billing schedules, deferred revenue, contract assets (unbilled receivables), and related accounting. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet roll-forwards, and supporting schedules related to revenue and associated accounts.

Analyze revenue trends and directly related costs, identifying key drivers and explaining period-over-period variances. Prepare reports, presentations, and financial summaries for senior management. Partner with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Legal, Operations, and Finance, to ensure accurate accounting for new products, contracts, and business initiatives.

Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support financial statement audits and SOX compliance activities. Identify opportunities to improve revenue accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency. Perform ad hoc financial analyses and support special projects as assigned.

Requirements

Qualified CA with 5+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting. Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 application. Proven experience leading revenue close processes in a fast-paced environment. Ability to interpret complex customer contracts and determine appropriate accounting treatment and disclosure requirements.

Experience supporting SOX compliance and external audits is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and professional integrity. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions. Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle E-Business Suite (Oracle EBS) or SAP is preferred.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Self-motivated, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision. Flexibility to work additional hours during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close periods, as business needs require.
