Position Overview

The Pharmacy Cashier serves as an important part of the pharmacy team, providing exceptional customer service and assisting patients with checkout, transactions, and general pharmacy support.

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and provide friendly, professional customer service. Process customer purchases and prescription transactions accurately. Operate the cash register and point-of-sale system. Accept cash, credit card, and other forms of payment. Assist patients with questions regarding purchases and direct pharmacy-related questions to the appropriate pharmacy staff.

Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming checkout area. Assist with stocking merchandise and maintaining inventory as needed. Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality. Work collaboratively with pharmacists and pharmacy staff to support daily operations.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred. Pharmacy or healthcare experience is a plus, but not required.
