Vehicle and Hydraulic Mechanic

Watauga District | Boone, NC Blue Ridge Energy is seeking a skilled Vehicle & Hydraulic Mechanic to support our Watauga District fleet. This hands-on role is essential to maintaining the vehicles and specialized equipment our crews depend on every day to serve members and customers across the High Country.

What You'll Do

Repair and maintain trucks, heavy equipment, bucket trucks, and digger derricks Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and major mechanical repairs Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline engines, air brake systems, and hydraulic equipment Complete DOT, state, and hydraulic inspections Respond to vehicle breakdowns and emergency repair needs Maintain accurate service and maintenance records What You'll Bring At least 3 years of vehicle mechanic experience Knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines, drivetrains, brakes, and hydraulic systems Strong troubleshooting and repair skills Welding and fabrication experience preferred Valid CDL and safe driving record required Why Blue Ridge Energy?
