• Carbondale, PA, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Category: Manufacturing, BASIC FUNCTION: Under moderate supervision, operates a variety of machines such as lathes, drill presses, milling machines, grinders, or special purpose equipment to machine metal work pieces to specification on a production basis. MAJOR DUTIES: Performs a variety of tasks on a variety of machines. Works from engineering drawings or rough sketches. Sets up own machining work. Performs other duties as assigned by leader or supervisor.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with machining techniques, tools, materials, equipment and blueprint reading is required. Ability to read precision measuring tools is also required. Skills may be gained through practical experience and/or specialized training. Minimum amount of rework or scrap will be accepted. Knowledge of all functions in given work area is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Frequent bending, twisting and/or lifting approximately 55 pounds (and periodically heavier loads approximately 75 pounds) will be required. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: All work will be done in a timely manner within established quality standards and consistent with Company policies, priorities and needs.
