Essential Functions

Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks, checking in products, matching purchase orders to sales orders. Read customer orders, transfer orders, or shipping requests to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped. Sort and place materials on racks/shelves/bins according to bin location.

File paperwork related to customer orders, purchase orders, receiving, shipping, and transfers in appropriate designated area. Ensure the warehouse is accessible, clean, organized, and safe for salespeople and customer traffic. Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves or relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department.

Clearly mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods. Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via computer operating system. Use proper weighing methods for shipment information when freight goes UPS or LTL. May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed (trash removal, general cleaning).

Complete, fill, and ship transfer requests as needed from other branches. Prepare parcels for shipment via LTL or UPS. Physical Requirements Lift/carry/push/pull heavy material or equipment (up to 75 lbs.) Ability to climb stairs, descend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel. Climb up and down a 12 foot ladder.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED required. Must have forklift training. Ability to drive large warehouse equipment safely and within OSHA and KPS guidelines.
