Technical Recruiter, Manufacturing

Torrance, CAPosted Nov 2, 2026

Job description

Why Castelion, Why Now

Castelion is moving incredibly fast to develop and deliver advanced defense systems at a time when execution matters more than ever. We believe focus, ownership, and excellence are decisive advantages - and we're building a world-class team to turn bold ideas into real capability.

This is a rare opportunity to join at an early stage, where you'll have significant ownership, collaborate with exceptional teammates, and make a direct, measurable impact on our mission and the future of the company - regardless of your function.

Technical Recruiter, Manufacturing

As a Technical Recruiter, Manufacturing at Castelion, you will help build the manufacturing workforce responsible for bringing our next-generation defense systems from development into production at scale. You will own full-cycle recruiting across manufacturing, production, skilled trades, and industrial operations, helping establish the teams and capabilities required to execute some of the most ambitious manufacturing programs in the defense industry.

This role requires a recruiter who understands that manufacturing talent is found through proactive engagement, local market knowledge, and strong relationships within the skilled trades and industrial communities. You will work closely with manufacturing leadership to build pipelines, identify exceptional talent, and deliver the people required to support aggressive production schedules and facility expansion.

We are looking for someone who is resourceful, hands-on, and comfortable recruiting at high volume without sacrificing quality. You take ownership, move quickly, and understand how to build a workforce rather than simply fill open positions.

Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for manufacturing, production, skilled trades, and industrial technical positions across Castelion's manufacturing operations.
  • Partner with manufacturing leaders and hiring managers to understand workforce requirements, production schedules, hiring priorities, and evolving organizational needs.
  • Develop and execute proactive sourcing strategies to attract experienced manufacturing talent across local and regional labor markets.
  • Build talent pipelines for positions such as manufacturing technicians, machinists, CNC operators, assemblers, welders, electricians, maintenance technicians, quality inspectors, manufacturing engineers, and production supervisors.
  • Develop a deep understanding of local manufacturing talent markets, including competitor companies, technical schools, trade programs, and skilled labor communities.
  • Identify creative sourcing channels beyond traditional job postings, including referrals, industry networks, trade organizations, technical schools, and direct candidate engagement.
  • Manage recruiting activity across multiple requisitions while maintaining consistent candidate communication, interview coordination, and hiring momentum.
  • Evaluate candidates for technical capabilities, hands-on experience, reliability, adaptability, and alignment with Castelion's execution-focused culture.
  • Partner with hiring managers to establish efficient interview processes and ensure timely candidate feedback and hiring decisions.
  • Support recruiting initiatives for new manufacturing facilities, production expansions, and evolving workforce requirements.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics, pipeline health, hiring velocity, and sourcing effectiveness to continuously improve results.
  • Deliver a high-quality candidate experience while balancing speed, consistency, and hiring standards.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, preferably supporting manufacturing, production, skilled trades, industrial operations, or technical environments.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing and hiring candidates for hands-on manufacturing or production positions.
  • Experience recruiting across multiple job families and managing competing hiring priorities.
  • Strong sourcing capabilities and experience identifying candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, referrals, and alternative recruiting channels.
  • Ability to develop relationships with manufacturing leaders, production managers, supervisors, and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing environments and the types of skills required across production, assembly, machining, fabrication, and industrial operations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and candidate management skills.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities and hiring needs can change quickly.
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and accountability for recruiting outcomes.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience recruiting within aerospace, defense, automotive, industrial manufacturing, energetics, or other advanced manufacturing environments.
  • Experience hiring for high-volume manufacturing or production organizations.
  • Familiarity with skilled trades, including CNC machining, welding, fabrication, electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, and industrial maintenance.
  • Experience supporting greenfield manufacturing facilities, production ramp-ups, or large-scale workforce expansions.
  • Established relationships with local manufacturing talent communities, trade schools, technical programs, or industry organizations.
  • Experience recruiting across multiple geographic markets and supporting onsite manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working in Greenhouse or another modern applicant tracking system.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems, safety requirements, and regulated production environments.
