Chapel Hill- Carrboro City Schools Job Description Job Title: Bus Monitor Salary Schedule: Classified; CHCCS Salary Page Reports To: Director of Transportation Salary Grade: 101 Work Location: Lincoln Center FLSA Status: Nonexempt Work Schedule: 10 Month Position Summary To assist in providing safe transportation so that students may enjoy the fullest possible advantage from the district’s curriculum and extracurricular program Essential Duties Assists the bus driver in maintaining good student conduct on the bus.

Inspects transportation passes to prevent unauthorized travel. Assists young or disabled students in getting on and off the bus. Assures that students get on and off the bus in an orderly fashion. Provides written records of violations of the student code to the Transportation Supervisor. Collects and turns over to the school secretary those personal items left on the bus by students.
