We are currently looking for an experienced Purchasing Agent to add to our team. The Purchasing Agent is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely purchasing of specific products as required in a safe and timely manner. Experience in the steel industry is essential. Duties include: * Performing cost reduction initiatives when purchasing needed products for daily operations * Expediting delivery of purchased parts and maintaining accurate bill of material, item, and vendor master records * Managing supplier improvement efforts and evaluating supplier performance * Analyzing inventory levels to determine efficient purchasing on a monthly basis * Planning and releasing purchase orders in support of the production plan * Driving strategic supplier selection to ensure best-in-class suppliers are capable of supporting product programs * Performing monthly inventory, and providing accurate reports for month end closings * Performing other related duties as requested If you are looking for a career with a well-established company and would like to become a part of our success, please forward let us hear from you.
