GHS Environmental Action Club Advisor Stipend: $6,631 The GHS Environmental Action Club Advisor plays a crucial role in fostering environmental consciousness and initiatives within the school and local community. Essential Responsibilities Club Leadership Facilitating weekly club meetings Guiding students in developing climate-oriented proposals and initiatives School Environmental Programs Overseeing the GHS composting program Coordinating school-wide Earth Week activities Supporting the Project Green Challenge Community Engagement Collaborating with local organizations (e.
g., Zero-Waste Committee, PTAC Environmental Committee, Greenwich Green and Clean) Attending community meetings, often outside school hours Service Learning Assisting club members in organizing environmental service projects for GHS students Supervising service events, frequently outside school hours Environmental Culture Working to cultivate a school-wide culture of environmental responsibility Qualifications Preference will be given to Greenwich High School staff, then to other Greenwich Public Schools staff
