Senior Software Engineer (C++)

Location: Vilnius or Kaunas (Office-Based/Hybrid) Position Summary: At Bentley Systems, we're creating software used by organizations around the globe to design, build, and operate critical infrastructure. We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer who is passionate about modern C++ development and enjoys solving technically challenging problems. In this role, you'll help build cloud-connected services and applications that are relied upon by thousands of users worldwide. You'll join a collaborative engineering team where developers are encouraged to contribute ideas, influence technical decisions, and take ownership of the solutions they build.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using C++. Build and enhance cloud-connected services integrated with Bentley's platform. Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and fellow engineers to deliver impactful features. Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architecture decisions.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with a strong focus on quality. Work within an Agile development environment utilizing CI/CD practices. Investigate complex technical challenges and develop scalable, reliable solutions. Contribute to code reviews and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Stay current with emerging technologies and engineering best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of professional software development experience using C++. Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles and software architecture. Experience building and maintaining production-grade applications. Familiarity with Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.

Experience working in Agile development environments. A collaborative mindset and strong problem-solving skills. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies and challenges. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Please note that if you are employed full-time, the salary for this position ranges from 4000 EUR gross (before taxes, Lithuania), depending on knowledge and experience.
