Job Details: Salary Range: Undisclosed, Full-Time (10 Days Per Pay) Hourly Non-Exempt Bi-Weekly Pay Period JOB TITLE Activities Certified Nursing Assistant RESPONSIBLE TO: Activities Supervisor, Director of Clinical Services PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB POSTION To provide a variety of activities daily activities that will enhance residents quality of life as well as provide them with stimulation and socialization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  1. Perform all duties and responsibilities of certified nursing assistant job description when needed or instructed by charge nurse.
  2. Transport residents to/from activities as needed.
  3. Assist in developing and implementing activities that benefit all residents. (this includes active participation to sensory activities)
  4. Document residents activities in ECS daily.
  5. Maintain storage areas and provide AT Supervisor with list of needed supplies.
  6. Keep activity room maintained and organized.
  7. Check refrigerator and freezers daily and record temperatures.
  8. Check non-perishable food items and discard/replace as needed. RISK EXPOSURE Tasks assigned to this position involve potential and/or direct exposure to blood or body fluids. Tasks assigned to this position also include potential for direct exposure to heat (using a glue gun, stove, and oven) STAFF DEVELOPMENT Attend and participate in scheduled training and educational classes, as required for certification. Attend and participate in scheduled orientation programs and activities. Attend and complete monthly mandatory in-services. RESIDENTS RIGHTS Be aware of residents rights. Maintain confidentiality of residents information. Knock before entering residents room. Ensure that all nursing care is provided in privacy. TEAMWORK Communicate with other activity aides, restorative aides and nursing aides to provide resident with best activity for them. Communicate with team leader about residents change of condition and any pertinent observations. Communicate with other departments to meet residents needs. This job description is a general guideline and may be changed without notice as required by the needs of the facility. : Required Qualifications Certified Nurse Aide certification required High school graduate or equivalent preferred Must pass nurse aide training module, clinical skills exam, and written State Exam to be competency evaluated Must have good planning and organizational skills Must be self-motivated to complete tasks Must be flexible, and able to work flexible hours according to specially scheduled activity needs Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language Must be able to read, follow oral directions and write legibly Must be honest, trustworthy and possess tolerance for all individuals Must be able to communicate with other departments Must have good physical and mental health.
