Licensed Group Leader – Early Childhood Day Treatment Services Lead Therapeutic Groups. Build Relationships. Make a Lasting Impact. Are you a licensed behavioral health professional passionate about helping children overcome challenges and develop the skills they need to thrive? Best Point Education & Behavioral Health is seeking a Licensed Group Leader within our Early Childhood Day Treatment Services program.

In this role, you’ll facilitate evidence-based group therapy, develop individualized treatment objectives , implement behavior support and crisis management strategies, and collaborate with families, schools, and treatment teams. You’ll help create a structured, trauma-informed therapeutic environment where children receive the support they need to make meaningful progress.

What You’ll Do Clinical Services & Group Therapy Plan, facilitate, document, and bill daily day treatment services. Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships with clients. Create a structured therapeutic group environment that promotes engagement and growth. Develop and implement Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) and crisis management strategies.

Apply behavior modification strategies as trained. Use CPI and de-escalation techniques during crisis situations. Conduct diagnostic assessments to determine appropriate levels of care. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Collaboration & Care Coordination Collaborate with families, guardians, school personnel, and assigned partners to support client outcomes.

Participate in supervision, case consultations, and weekly treatment team meetings. Maintain regular communication with schools and guardians. Use trauma-informed, strength-based communication strategies. Support recruitment of new group members. Contribute to coordinated care and shared program goals. Quality Assurance & Clinical Effectiveness Contribute to quarterly quality targets and program performance goals.

Use data to inform treatment planning, documentation, and clinical decision-making. Maintain compliance with applicable licensure and professional standards. Support consistent, high-quality therapeutic services and continuous improvement. Documentation & Program Operations Complete required documentation accurately and within established timeframes.

Use Credible reports to monitor outcomes and performance. Apply appropriate billing codes and location types. Follow confidentiality requirements across all settings. Ensure the group room is prepared and stocked with necessary materials.

Qualifications

Active professional licensure in the State of Ohio: LSW, LPC, LISW, LPCC, MFT, IMFT Minimum of a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred. Demonstrated ability to implement behavior modification strategies as trained. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and standard Microsoft Office applications. Strong communication and collaboration skills .

Ability to work effectively with children, families, school personnel, and interdisciplinary teams. Commitment to trauma-informed, strength-based, and client-centered care. Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including participating in required safety interventions.

Compensation

Employees may work with children experiencing behavioral challenges and may encounter shouting, verbal or physical aggression, blood, vomit, or other bodily fluids. The role requires the ability to: Sit, stand, walk, and bend regularly. Lift up to 50 pounds. Perform sustained physical exertion as required. Participate in required safety interventions, including physical restraint techniques and exercises.
