PT Teaching Artist Hiland - Apprentice

Job Details: Job Location: The Hiland Theater

• Albuquerque, NM, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $25.00 - $35.00Hourly, Teaching and Choreography
• Training period includes paid apprenticeship learning under the guidance of a master teacher, and participating in training and enrichment workshops to learn the pedagogy and build teaching skills. Schedule can range from 3-12 hours/week
• Prepares assignments and lesson plans for classes as directed by lead teaching artist
• Works collaboratively with teaching and music team to create choreography for outreach programs Production Support
• Works backstage in support of culminating performances for programs General Artistic Duties:
• Attends all enrichment workshops and staff meetings as needed
• Follows NDI New Mexico program curriculum set by program director
• Provides program director with required materials and information as needed
• Subbing classes when available
• Other duties as needed and mutually agreed upon Qualifications: Working Conditions, Environment and Physical Requirements:
• Requires weekend and evening hours
• Requires extensive physical movement, dance, high energy, and stamina
• In applicable programs performs functions in a variety of environments including: NDI New Mexico offices, schools, residency sites, and other locations
• In applicable programs may require reimbursable in-state travel to NDI New Mexico locations, participating schools, residency sites, and community events Job Specific Requirements:
• Professional dance performance experience
• College level education preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in job-related duties
• Flexibility in work schedule
