Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician Join Our Team Hiawatha Communications is seeking an entry-level Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join our technical operations team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, problem-solving, and helping others and wants to build a career in networking and telecommunications.

What You'll Do

Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting. Respond professionally to calls and emails from customers and internal teams. Monitor network systems, alarms, and network events. Create, update, and track trouble tickets. Troubleshoot issues using established procedures and tools. Escalate issues to senior technical staff when appropriate .

Keep customers and internal teams informed of issue status. Assist with incident and Reason for Outage (RFO) documentation. Maintain network, customer, and plant records. Assist with network documentation, mapping, service provisioning, and special projects. Participate in an on-call rotation after appropriate training.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. An associate's or bachelor's degree is preferred in information technology, computer science, networking, telecommunications, electronics, or a related technical field. Equivalent technical training, certifications, or relevant work experience will also be considered. IT, networking, technical support, customer service, or telecommunications experience is helpful but not required .

Familiarity with TCP/IP, fiber optics, or networking is a plus. CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar certification is a plus, but not required .
