Clinical Therapist

Preston, ID, United StatesFull-timePosted Oct 17, 2026

Job description

Therapist at CAPSA, Full Benefits at 30 Hours/Week.

At CAPSA, we are working toward a world with empowered survivors, safe homes, and children living without fear. Every day, our team shows up with courage and compassion to support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in Cache County, Franklin County, and the Bear Lake area.

We are hiring a therapist based in Preston, Idaho, so survivors in our Idaho service area can find trauma-informed care close to home. This is a full-time, fully benefited position at 30 hours per week, giving you room for meaningful clinical work and a life outside of it. You'll walk alongside survivors and, when appropriate, the people who support them.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a therapist who brings sound clinical judgment to ongoing, trauma-informed therapy and believes survivors should direct their own care. You'll provide evidence-based therapy to individuals and groups, assess each survivor's needs and safety, and build survivor-directed treatment plans with them. You'll work closely with CAPSA advocates and caseworkers, coordinate referrals with Idaho providers, and keep accurate, confidential records. The work also includes some crisis evaluations, including suicide risk, and safety planning as part of our Idaho services.

Because this role serves Preston, we strongly prefer someone with knowledge of Preston-area community resources and service systems.

The work includes seeing children, working in groups, and supporting case management when needed.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, or a closely related clinical field
  • Current Idaho license for this work, or eligibility and commitment to obtain one; associate, provisional, and supervised credentials are welcome

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of trauma related to domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking
  • Experience providing therapy to adult and children survivors of interpersonal violence
  • Experience facilitating groups

Why CAPSA?

You won't do this work alone. CAPSA can provide Idaho-qualified clinical supervision toward licensure, our 40-hour advocacy training, and ongoing domestic violence and sexual assault training.

Full-time (30 hours per week), reporting to our Clinical Services Director. We offer full benefits, including PTO; medical, dental, and vision insurance; life insurance; a retirement match; and an Employee Assistance Program.

If bringing hope and healing to survivors in the Preston community sounds like work you're ready for, we'd love to hear from you.

CAPSA is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace
