Job description
NOTE: This is a full-time position available for remote work within the contiguous United States if living beyond a 30-mile radius of a physical Nu. Scale office. Otherwise, work must be performed in-office 4 days/week. Regardless of work location, occasional travel may be required for business needs.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Corporate Contract Manager provides procurement and contract management support throughout the lifecycle of overhead or technical services contract s , including but not limited to , engineering , design, fabrication, testing , manufacturing, construction , and IT/Software-related contracts in accordance with established policies and procedures .
Performs tasks as assigned to include, but not limited to , planning, bidder prequalification, development of bidder lists, development of bid solicitation packages, bid analysis, negotiations, award, administration, change management, and closeout . ESSENTIAL D UTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Drafts, e valuates, n egotiates , and e xecutes contracts, including but not limited to , non-disclosure agreements , s ubcontracts, c onsulting a greements, l icensing a greements, Master Services Agreements, Task Orders , and Purchase Orders supporting the overhead and technical services business unit .
Serve s as the single point of contact on contractual matters. Act s as a contractual “liaison” between company employees and suppliers, ensuring timely review and approval / reconciliation of deviations . Provide s redlined recommendations and often negotiate s directly with suppliers’ attorneys or purchasing staff until consensus has been reached .
Maintain s contractual records and documentation such as receipt and control of all contract correspondence, supplier contact information, contract changes, status reports , and other documents for all contracts. Provide s guidance on contract matters to project managers or other responsible staff. Monitor s competitive terms.
Monitor s satisfaction with our terms and condit ions and contracting practices. Recommend s changes. Produce s and m anage s Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) , and Requests for Quote (RFQ). Interface s with ordering departments to ensure scope and technical requi rements are clearly specified.
Facilitate s discussions with ordering departments and suppliers. Coordinate s terms and conditions review with L egal and Finance as necessary to ensure legal and other risks are properly minimized. Ensure s contract close out, extension , or renewal. Perform s other duties as assigned. Dependability : Consistently on time and at work, responds to management expectations , and solicits feedback to improve performance. Team Building: Capable of developing strong interpersonal networks and trust within the organization, setting expectations and requirements , and achieving accountability of supervised personnel.
Leads consensus by involving all stakeholders, facilitating their understanding of differences, agreeing on requirements and constraints, and developing the best solution. Safety Culture : Adheres to the Nu. Scale Safety culture and is expected to model safe behavior and influence peers to meet high standards. Quality Assurance : Commits to the understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1 .
MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES : Education : A minimum of B.S. or B.A. in Supply Chain, Business Management , Finance, Economics, or related field required . Experience : Minimum of five ( 5 ) years of full-time and relevant working experience in procurement and contract mana gement in the energy , utility , or similar highly regulated industry is required.
Industry Requirements : Eligible to work under Depart ment of Energy 10 CFR Part 810. Pay and Benefits: The target pay range for this position is $97,440 - $117,600 annually. The full pay range is $88,000 - $136,000 annually. At Nu. Scale, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, full-time working experience, education and training, equity within the department.
