Building Maintenance

Description Black Equipment is seeking a dependable and hands-on Building Maintenance Technician to support the daily upkeep and maintenance of our facility and surrounding grounds. This position is responsible for ensuring the building remains safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained through routine inspections, repairs, preventative maintenance, and general groundskeeping duties.

Essential Duties

& Responsibilities Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance tasks. Conduct routine inspections of the facility and identify maintenance needs. Repair minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical issues. Maintain building systems, equipment, fixtures, and common areas. Assist with painting, patching, and other facility improvement projects.

Perform seasonal grounds maintenance including trimming, landscaping, snow removal, and debris cleanup as needed. Maintain a clean and organized maintenance shop and work areas. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner. Load and unload semi-trailers.

Requirements

Qualifications

Previous building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, or related experience preferred. Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs. Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements

Valid driver's license required. No moving violations or major driving infractions within the past five (5) years. Reliable transportation. Ability to pass pre-employment screenings.
