The PTA will assist with therapeutic exercises and treatments, monitor patient progress, document care, and help patients safely work toward their rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities

Guide, instruct, and motivate patients through prescribed exercises and functional activities. Provide therapeutic exercises, manual treatments, massage, and appropriate physical therapy modalities. Monitor patients during treatment and communicate progress and concerns to the Physical Therapist. Measure range of motion, vital signs, and other treatment-related indicators.

Assist patients with transfers, positioning, and use of therapy equipment. Fit and instruct patients on supportive devices such as braces and crutches. Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient progress. Communicate with patients, caregivers, and members of the healthcare team. Follow established treatment plans and applicable standards of care.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Associate’s degree or certification from an accredited physical therapy program with appropriate coursework and clinical experience. At least 1 year of experience as a physical therapy aide. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organization and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software. Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency or challenging situations. Preferred Experience in an outpatient, orthopedic, or spine-focused setting. Experience working with therapeutic exercise equipment and physical therapy modalities.
