Job Description The Career Navigator III oversees participants and compliance in our specialized programs, ensuring that the organization follows all policies and procedures as outlined for the assigned program.
Key Job Responsibilities
Monitor WIOA program activities to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, policies, and procedures. Conduct file reviews, and monitoring visits to assess program performance and documentation accuracy. Provide technical assistance and compliance guidance to workforce development staff and partners.
Review eligibility determinations, case management records, and supportive service documentation for accuracy and completeness. Identify compliance risks and develop action plans to address findings and improve program compliance. Maintain knowledge of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) regulations, guidance, and reporting requirements.
Analyze program data and performance metrics to ensure data integrity and support regulatory reporting. Collaborate with leadership, service providers, and workforce partners to promote continuous quality improvement. Prepare compliance reports, monitoring summaries, and recommendations for management review Utilizes and navigates the NCWorks database to ensure program compliance Education Bachelor's degree, preferred, or a combination of education and experience will be considered.
Essential Skills & Abilities At least 1 years of experience in a similar role preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Intermediate computer skills required. Ability to multi-task. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal. Excellent critical thinking and time management skills. Must be an active listener and have excellent soft skills.
Excellent organizational skills and understanding of deadlines. Understanding of Goodwill’s brand and brand awareness. Must be able to travel throughout the service area of Wilkes, Watuaga, Ashe and Alleghany, with travel requirements ranging from 25% to 50% as needed. The selected candidate's home office will be assigned within one of our four service counties based on organizational needs and the candidate's location.
