We're seeking an experienced and compassionate Lead Direct Support Professional (LDSP) to join our Community Passages team. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and dual diagnoses while mentoring and developing Direct Support Professionals.

About Community Passages Community Passages , a program of Resources for Human Development (RHD) , is a community-based residential program designed to provide a homelike environment for individuals with developmental disabilities and dual diagnoses.

Many of the individuals we support have previously lived in state centers and hospitals and may present complex behavioral support needs. Through person-centered planning, self-determination, and individualized supports, Community Passages empowers individuals to develop life skills, increase self-esteem, make choices for themselves, and achieve greater independence.

You'll serve as a mentor and role model for Direct Support Professionals while helping ensure services are delivered in accordance with each individual's support plan, goals, and regulatory requirements.

Your Responsibilities

Staff Leadership & Mentoring Work closely with Direct Support Professionals, management, and internal departments to ensure services are delivered according to Individual Service Plans (ISPs). Mentor, train, observe, and support Direct Support Professionals. Provide coaching and feedback regarding implementation of support plans.

Model professional and positive interactions with the individuals we support. Promote teamwork, accountability, and quality service delivery. Serve as a role model for professionalism and person-centered supports. Direct Support & Individual Services Provide direct care and support to individuals receiving services. Assist individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills.

Encourage personal choice, self-advocacy, and community involvement. Support individuals in achieving goals identified in their Individual Service Plans. Promote dignity, empowerment, and independence. Provide services consistent with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Program Operations Collaborate with management in preparing for daily program operations.

Develop and maintain organizational systems within assigned homes. Ensure services are implemented effectively and consistently. Help maintain safe, supportive, and organized residential environments. Support quality services and efficient operations. Perform additional duties as assigned. Documentation & Compliance Complete required documentation accurately and on time.

Follow incident management and reporting procedures. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Follow OSHA, fire safety, fiscal, HR, and organizational policies. Attend required trainings and meetings. Exercise sound judgment and professionalism at all times. Who We're Looking For You may be a great fit if you are: ✔ Passionate about supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and dual diagnoses ✔ An experienced Direct Support Professional ready for leadership responsibilities ✔ Compassionate and patient ✔ Dependable and professional ✔ Skilled at mentoring and coaching others ✔ Committed to person-centered and trauma-informed supports ✔ Organized and detail-oriented ✔ A strong communicator ✔ Collaborative and team-oriented ✔ Dedicated to helping individuals achieve greater independence Qualifications Required High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or mental health needs Ability to read, write, and document effectively in English Basic computer and internet literacy Ability to utilize email, timekeeping systems, and electronic documentation systems Understanding of trauma, trauma-informed care, and creating trauma-informed environments Valid Driver's License Clean driving record within the last 5 years Successful completion of required background clearances, including FBI clearance if applicable Preferred Associate or Bachelor's Degree Previous leadership, mentoring, or supervisory experience Experience in residential services Schedule & Compensation Full-Time $19.

50/hour Schedule flexibility may be required based on business and program needs. Evening, weekend, and location flexibility may be required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, kneel, stoop, crouch, and climb stairs. Ability to use hands and fingers, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements.

Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds, frequently lift up to 20 pounds, and regularly lift up to 10 pounds. Ability to perform direct support duties in residential and community settings.
