Job description

Overview

Some people see a kennel full of dogs. You see who needs an extra walk, who hasn’t touched breakfast, and who just needs someone to sit with them for a minute. At Country View, we’re looking for an experienced Kennel Attendant who knows that great animal care lives in those details. With flexible scheduling and 4-hour shifts, this is a hands-on role for someone who already understands the rhythm of kennel care and genuinely enjoys being right in the middle of it.

About the Practice At Country View, the pets staying with us aren’t simply checked off a care list. They each have their own routine, personality, preferences, and ways of letting us know what they need. Our kennel team helps make sure those needs don’t get missed. It’s active work, sometimes messy work, and incredibly important work.

If you like knowing the animals in your care and taking pride in giving them a great experience while their families are away, you’ll feel at home here. What You’ll Help Make Possible A dog who can’t wait for their morning walk A nervous pet who gets a little more comfortable because you noticed they needed extra patience Meals, medications, exercise, and daily routines that happen when they should Clean, comfortable spaces that are ready for the next wagging tail An extra scratch, play session, or quiet minute with the pet who needs it Families who can leave their pets with us knowing they’re in good hands What We’re Looking For Required 1–2 years of kennel, boarding, veterinary, or animal care experience Confidence and comfort working hands-on with dogs and cats Dependability and attention to detail Ability to keep up with the active, physical nature of kennel work Someone who pays attention to changes in an animal’s behavior, appetite, or routine and knows when something deserves a closer look Schedule Looking for something that can work around the rest of your life?

4-hour shifts Scheduling flexibility Shorter shifts with plenty to keep you moving and engaged Great for someone who wants to stay hands-on with animals without committing to a traditional 8-hour shift Compensation $14–$16/hour , based on experience and role alignment.

Benefits
