SOL Engineering Services is seeking an experienced Aircraft Painter to work at the NTWL Patuxent River Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, MD.

The Aircraft Painter will prepare and paint aircrafts and support equipment and allied component surfaces. The person selected will be required to interface with the customer and as a SOL representative and must present an appropriate appearance and demeanor. The person selected must be flexible to work overtime on any shift, including weekends, and must be available for detachments, both ashore based and shipboard.

Experience performing duties corresponding to SCA 23740 , Painter, Aircraft, or SCA 05310 , Automotive Painter. Documented prior completion of N-701-0014 (Aircraft Paint Touch Up and Markings Course) OR C-600-3182 (Paint & Finish Course). U.S. citizenship all applicable customer-site, security, access, medical, respirator, physical, safety, and onboarding requirements.

Willingness and ability to work onsite at NAS Patuxent River, including required shifts, overtime, weekends, travel, or detachments. Incentive Package Billable Hours 1800 Base Wage $45/hour Sign-on Incentive $5000 Relocation Reimbursement $5000 Temporary Lodging Allowance $3500 Retention Incentive - 3 years $3000 Job Duties The aircraft painter prepares and paints the aircraft, support equipment, and allied component surfaces.

Coats surfaces of aircraft, support equipment, and allied components with paint, laquer, epoxy, resin, or other material using brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other devices. Removes old paint from aircraft using liquid paint remover and scraper. Smooths surface with sandpaper and steel wool. Roughens aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to ensure that paint adheres to surface.

Masks and covers portions of surface not to be painted. Paints insignia, letters, or numerals on aircraft surface using stencils.
