Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Shop Welder to support our ag-retail operation. This role is split between repairing agricultural equipment and performing light manufacturing and fabrication. The ideal candidate is a practical problem-solver who can take a broken implement, assess the stress points, and lay down a durable, high-quality weld to get it back in the field, while also handling repetitive light manufacturing tasks with precision.

Light Manufacturing: Fabricate metal parts, custom attachments, and light assemblies according to shop specifications and operational needs. Metal Preparation & Finishing: Cut, grind, and prep materials using torches, plasma cutters, and saws prior to welding.

Quality Control: Inspect all welds for durability, penetration, and structural integrity, ensuring they can withstand heavy agricultural use. Shop Maintenance: Maintain welding equipment, manage consumable inventory (wire, gas, rods), and keep a safe, organized workspace.

Required Skills

& Qualifications Proven experience in MIG and Stick welding (TIG experience is a plus but not strictly required). Ability to read basic blueprints, shop drawings, and take accurate measurements. Experience working with carbon steel, aluminum, and other common agricultural metals. Familiarity with operating shop equipment, including grinders, drill presses, band saws, and plasma cutters.
