Project Manager Go Beyond Grades

$65,000

Uplift EducationPosted Oct 8, 2026

Job description

Mission Statement: Uplift's mission is to create and sustain public schools of excellence that empower each student to reach their highest potential in college and the global marketplace and that inspire in students a life-long love of learning, achievement, and service in order to positively change their world. Primary Purpose: The Go Beyond Grades Project Manager leads the Go Beyond Grades pilot at Uplift Meridian Primary and Uplift Mighty Primary and carries what works from the pilot to every Uplift campus in Fort Worth.

The Project Manager Go Beyond Grades is responsible for leading the planning, implementation, evaluation, and expansion of the Go Beyond Grades initiative across Uplift's Fort Worth campuses. The position develops and implements systems, resources, and practices that strengthen families' understanding of scholar academic performance and their ability to support learning at home.

Working collaboratively with campus and network leaders, the Project Manager analyzes program and academic data, identifies implementation needs, determines appropriate strategies and adjustments, and develops sustainable processes that can be transitioned to campus teams. The position is accountable for successful pilot implementation, grant deliverables, stakeholder reporting, and development of a scalable model that can be sustained beyond the grant period.

The Project Manager reports pilot progress to Uplift leadership and to the funder throughout both years, and by the end of the grant in May 2028, transfers full ownership of the model to campus teams so the work continues without a funded Project Manager position. Duties/Responsibilities: Family Academic Communication & Resources Create personalized family learning plan resources in partnership with grade-level leads for every family at Meridian and Mighty Primary, focused initially on reading and mathematics.

Develop simple, bilingual (English and Spanish) resources that answer three questions for families: where is my child now, where should they be, and what can I do to help. Build monthly "What We're Learning" grade-level guides and coordinate short videos following beginning-of-year MAP testing that explain performance bands and the skills scholars need to progress.

Partner with the Fort Worth Education Partnership and Go Beyond Grades to script and produce a monthly cadence of videos tailored to quintiles, with simple academic actions families can take at home. Run quarterly family workshops in partnership with Family Engagement Coordinators and school leadership. Build every family-facing resource as a template or protocol that grade-level leads and Family Engagement Coordinators can produce and run on their own by year two, rather than a resource that depends on the Project Manager to produce it each time.

Teacher Capacity Building Coach teachers at both campuses on communicating student progress in parent-friendly language, including shared vocabulary for explaining grade-level performance. Provide teachers with specific talking points for academic conversations with families and for what the school will do next to support each scholar.

Coordinate with Go Beyond Grades and partner organizations such as City Teaching Alliance to strengthen this capacity while reducing the burden on individual teachers to translate assessment data on their own. Build a coaching model and toolkit that instructional leaders at each campus can use to coach their own teachers in this work in year two, rather than the Project Manager coaching every teacher directly on an ongoing basis.

Family Tracking & Follow-Up System Build and manage a family tracking system with a required check-in point for every family action, so that a missed conference, an unexplained scorecard, or a missed follow-up does not fall through. Categorize families using a green/yellow/red system that identifies whether each parent knows how their scholar is performing, has had the data explained to them, understands what the data means, knows what they can do to help, and needs additional follow-up.

Embed academic conversations into existing family touchpoints, including parent conferences and after-school events, and position staff to follow up with families immediately after conferences. Coordinate outreach, tracking, and additional touchpoints for families who are hardest to reach. Administer the parent-confidence survey in the fall and spring of year one and lead the response to survey results.

Design the tracking system and green/yellow/red protocol so that Family Engagement Coordinators and front office staff can maintain it independently in year two. Program Management, Reporting & Network Scale-Up Serve as the on-site lead for the enhanced pilot at Meridian and Mighty Primary in year one, working directly with campus leaders, teachers, and families.

Report pilot progress to Uplift leadership and to the Fort Worth Education Partnership throughout the grant period. Produce a network-ready playbook by the end of year one that turns the pilot's tools and protocols into a standard resource for every Fort Worth campus. Train campus leaders and family engagement staff across all Fort Worth campuses on the playbook in year two.

Support the conference cycle and the Power. School and Parent. Square cadence network-wide in year two. By the end of the grant in May 2028, have tested what works, finalized the playbook, trained the appropriate campus teams, and transferred ownership of the model to those teams so the work continues without a funded Project Manager position.

Report year-end results at the close of each year, with the year-two report documenting how the model will continue to run at every Fort Worth campus without additional grant funding. Evaluate pilot performance, implementation data, stakeholder feedback, and emerging needs to independently identify risks, establish priorities, and recommend or implement adjustments to program strategies, systems, resources, and protocols within the scope of the initiative.

Exercises discretion and independent judgment in evaluating program needs, identifying implementation risks, determining appropriate interventions and adjustments, and recommending changes to practices, protocols, and resource allocation to achieve project and grant objectives. Cross-Functional Coordination: Partners effectively with campus leaders, teachers, Family Engagement Coordinators, and external partners, including the Fort Worth Education Partnership and Go Beyond Grades.
