United Schools of Indianapolis (USI) is seeking an exceptional elementary school teacher who is committed to ensuring every child develops the academic foundation, social skills, and work habits necessary for long-term success. Teachers work within collaborative grade-level teams. Teams meet regularly to analyze student data, refine instruction, share resources, and plan targeted interventions. Instruction is rigorous, engaging, and focused on mastery of specific academic skills. Teachers partner closely with families and our Culture Team to ensure students receive both academic and social-emotional support.

Qualifications

A valid Indiana teaching license. Experience supporting children in developing foundational academic skills. Strong knowledge of curriculum and content. The instructional and classroom management skills necessary to support diverse learners at varying skill levels. A commitment to engaging families and the broader community in students’ academic and social development.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset. A deep commitment to high expectations and measurable student achievement. Leadership potential and a willingness to take initiative to improve outcomes inside and outside the classroom . Teachers can earn up to $40,000 annually in performance-based bonuses . Over $500,000 in bonuses are awarded each year. Bonuses reward retention of high-performing staff and attract top-tier educators. Eligibility includes general education teachers, intervention teachers, elective teachers, counselors, deans, administrators, and office staff.
