Primary Function: The Engineer V acts as staff specialist in the application of advanced theories, concepts, and principles for an assigned area of responsibility. The incumbent must be capable of analyzing all technical aspects of the subject area, defining the scope and selecting problems for investigation, developing novel concepts and approaches, and recommending major changes.
