Shift Production Supervisor- B Shift (3:45pm-4am)

Positio n Summary: The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the plant, including planning, organizing, staffing, and regulating production activities. This role supports the Shift Manager and collaborates closely with other department leaders to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations.

The Production Supervisor leads by example—fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement while ensuring that production goals are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

Operation s Management- Oversee all production activities to ensure compliance with safety, food safety, and quality standards. Ensure employees follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective and sanitary gear. Plan and execute daily production schedules to achieve established goals for output, quality, and efficiency.

Monitor and adjust workflows to maintain optimal staffing and resource utilization . Support the development and implementation of new food products and process improvements. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues. Partner with Scheduling to maintain production flow and develop solutions when behind schedule.

Report any issues or deviations impacting production targets to the Shift Manager in a timely manner . Prepare and maintain production reports to provide regular updates to management. Staffing & Training- Oversee the hiring, onboarding, and training of production team members. Develop work schedules and shift rotations to ensure continuous coverage.

Assign daily work tasks and responsibilities to team leads and operators. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support for professional growth and performance improvement. Identify training needs and ensure consistent development of staff skills and knowle dge People Management & Leadership- Establish department objectives and KPIs; regularly review progress and performance of direct reports.

Lead daily production meetings with leads to review priorities, targets, and performance. Motivate, mentor, and hold team members accountable for results and workplace conduct. Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and operational excellence. Communicate company goals, expectations, and key performance metrics to all employees.

Maintain and update team records, including training documentation, performance reviews, and risk assessments.

Qualifications

3+ years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing or a related environment. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills . Proven ability to manage teams, drive accountability, and meet production goals. Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and food safety standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems preferred.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or extended shifts as needed.
