What Happens in Shipping and Receiving Anyway? Interact with donors to accept and process donations at trailer sites in an outdoor setting; provide outstanding service to all donors Receive newly donated items from our Donations team Help us be green and sustainable, sort and ship recyclable items Lift up to 50 lbs. Position Title: Dock Team Member Reports To: Dock Supervisor Department: Operations FLSA Status: Nonexempt monday - saturday 7:00 - 5:00 open availability Position Purpose and Objectives America’s Thrift Stores is hiring Dock Team Members!

This role provides a unique opportunity to combine a love for charitable work with an interest in retail.

Roles and Responsibilities Count, weigh, and measure incoming and outgoing shipments. Ensure timely movement of materials to the appropriate areas. Track and document movements and weights in the required system. Identify and document any shortages or discrepancies, communicating issues to management. Operate material handling equipment safely while using personal protective equipment (PPE).

Assist customers and donors at the store donation center as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management. Skills and Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age. Strong mathematical skills required. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50lbs.

Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with company policies and procedures, with the ability to execute them effectively. Excellent organizational, time management, and prioritization skills. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with peers and management. Strong record-keeping abilities and clear communication of progress to management.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Successful completion of background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screen. Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
