Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

MDB Health Services is hiring a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide psychiatric care and psychotropic medication management to residents of long-term care facilities in the Hot Springs, Arkansas area. Position details Location: Hot Springs, Arkansas Employment type: Part-time Schedule: Standard business hours Work setting: Long-term care facilities Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs Prescribe, monitor, and manage psychotropic medications Collaborate with facility staff and a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with applicable standards Educate and support patients and families regarding mental health conditions and treatment plans Participate in clinical research initiatives when applicable Required qualifications Master’s degree in nursing with a specialization in psychiatric-mental health nursing, or an equivalent qualification Current Nurse Practitioner license valid for practice in Arkansas Additional required credentials: AANP/ ANCC and DEA license required Preferred qualification Familiarity with clinical documentation practices and occupational health principles MDB Health Services Overview MDB Health Services provides medical and psychiatric services to residents in long-term care facilities across Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Texas.
