olivecrest.org/ Overview: FT/ 40 hrs. As a Special Education Assistant Teacher, you are responsible for supporting teachers in guiding students in the classroom. Olive Crest Academy's 360° approach to education is designed to focus on the unique needs of the whole child, ensuring every student is provided the support, resources, and instruction they need to grow in all areas of life.

We embrace students who exhibit even the toughest challenges, instilling in them a sense of belonging while giving them the opportunity to shine. As an Assistant Teacher, you are also responsible for the transportation of clients to and from school as directed by transportation supervisor. In addition to helping students navigate through their emotions, you will also assist in record keeping, photocopying, tutoring and behavior modification at educational site as needed.

Starting pay rate of $23 per hour. Responsibilities

• Assist teachers and supervisors as needed in the academy.
• Reenforce individual education and behavior plans with students.
• Monitor class time, breaks, lunch, and during transportation always ensuring a safe environment.
• Collaborate with team to develop, implement, and evaluate goals for both the school and individual students.
• Transport student to and from school.
• Report any serious disciplinary actions, inj Requirements / Qualifications Please note, this position requires our staff to drive students in our Olive Crest vehicles. With this, a valid California Driver's License and a 3-year driving record is required upon hire.
