Staff Nurse- Endoscopy

We guide you through professional registration, job placement, visa and employment permit processing. We are hiring a Staff Nurse – Endoscopy for a hospital in Galway, Ireland. Position Details 37.5 hours per week Full-time Specific Purpose Contract Responsibilities Deliver nursing care and treatments to the highest possible standard in accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines.

Participate in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care using the nursing process approach. Maintain accurate and appropriate patient records and implement discharge planning based on individual patient needs. Administer medications, IV drugs, blood products and controlled drugs in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

Monitor patients following medication administration, document observations and report any adverse events or medication errors. Follow best practice guidelines for infection prevention and control, promptly reporting and managing infections in accordance with hospital policies. Work closely with the Infection Control Nurse to maintain high standards of infection control.

Ensure the safe handling and appropriate disposal of medical waste in accordance with hospital policies.

Requirements

Ability to work effectively as part of a team while providing a high-quality service. Demonstrate personal and professional accountability for patient care. Hold an RGN qualification with NMBI registration or be eligible for registration. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Flexible approach to work patterns, including rotating day shifts.

Previous nursing experience in Endoscopy or Flexible Cystoscopy procedures is desirable. Have post-registration nursing experience, preferably in a surgical setting.
