Shipping Associate

Shipping Associate Department: Shipping Location: Bad Boy Mowers Reports To: Shipping Supervisor / Shipping Manager Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary Bad Boy Mowers is seeking a dependable and motivated Shipping Associate to support the daily operations of our Shipping Department. The Shipping Associate is responsible for accurately preparing, packaging, staging, loading, and shipping products while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

This position works closely with the Shipping, Warehouse, Production, and other departments to ensure products are shipped accurately and on schedule while meeting Bad Boy's standards for safety, quality, and customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare finished products and materials for shipment. Verify products, quantities, labels, and shipping documentation for accuracy. Package and secure products and materials according to established procedures. Stage products and orders in designated shipping areas. Load trailers, trucks, and other transportation vehicles safely and efficiently.

Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment as required. Inspect products and packaging for damage prior to shipment. Assist with identifying and resolving shipping discrepancies. Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation. Follow established shipping procedures and work instructions.

Communicate shipping issues or concerns to the Shipping Supervisor. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with inventory movement and material handling as needed. Work as part of a team to meet daily shipping goals and deadlines.

Assist other departments when needed to support overall operations. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous shipping, warehouse, manufacturing, or material-handling experience preferred but not required. Forklift experience preferred; ability to obtain forklift certification. Basic computer skills preferred. Ability to read and understand work instructions and shipping documentation.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Willingness to learn new processes and equipment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials as required.

Ability to safely operate or learn to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and climb as required. Ability to work around machinery, equipment, noise, dust, and varying temperatures. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position safely and effectively. Work Environment The Shipping Associate works primarily in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Employees may be exposed to moving equipment, machinery, noise, dust, varying temperatures, and other typical manufacturing conditions.
