Job Description

  1. Wash all kitchen utensils and crockeries used during and after preparation of foods.
  2. To sweep and clean the floor after every meal preparation time, including breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner.
  3. Ensure the cleanliness of the chillers, freezers and other kitchen equipment
  4. Ensure all kitchen utensils and kitchen area always dry and clean.
  5. To dispose waste and clean the grease trap as scheduled.
  6. To ensure all chemicals used are well kept and maintain at designated area.
  7. Assist in ordering of chemicals and cleaning tools used in food services.
  8. To clean and store all the housekeeping equipment properly after every use.
  9. To assist the receiving and keeping the raw materials as scheduled.
  10. Inspect and report malfunctioning equipment and follow-up with the repairs and maintenance
  11. Participate in all quality accreditation activities (e.g. JCI, MSQH, IMS, MSOSH, 5S, etc.)
  12. Adhere to KPJ Standard People Practice (SPP).
  13. All policies and procedures are adhered to and records maintained.
  14. To assist in any other responsibility as deemed necessary by Head of Services or Hospital Management. B. Occupational Safety & Health 15.To carry out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:-
  • To take reasonable care for safety and health of his/herself and other persons who may be affected by his/her acts or omission at work.
  • To co-operate with Management of KPJ PSH in the discharge of any duty or requirement imposed on the Management by the Occupational Safety and Health Act or any Regulations made therein.
  • To wear or use at all times any personal protective equipment (PPE) or clothing provided by the Management SSH for the purpose of preventing risks to his/her safety and health.
  • To comply with any instruction or measure on Occupational Safety and Health Act or any Regulations made therein.
  • To establish and maintain the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OSH). Job Requirement PMR/ PT3 & above
