It also features a Studio at the Library with equipment for patrons of all ages to learn to use. The pay range for this position is $20.51 - $24.00 (dependent on experience) and offers great benefits such as Medical, Dental, and Vision from day one!

About the role

The Pontiac Branch is one of five ACPL locations offering Studio Services. As the librarian, you will help customers explore Studio equipment, materials, and collections while developing programs, sharing ideas, and building community connections. You'll inspire creativity, encourage a love of technology, and help ensure everyone feels welcome and included. You will also help maintain patron accounts, making it easy for them to update, renew materials, manage fines and fees as well as welcome new faces by registering library cards.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree - required
• At least two (2) years of library operations experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
• Ability to obtain Indiana Public Librarian Certification LC5 within three (3) years of hire.
• Valid driver's license (for outreach activities).
• A blend of programming skills and a passion for service.
• Strong written communication skills, as you'll prepare informative educational materials that engage and inspire.
• Organizational skills will come in handy for effective records management and maintaining compliance with standard office practices.
• Ability to connect with individuals from all backgrounds will enable you to foster an inclusive atmosphere, making everyone feel at home in our library.
