As a result of organic growth and expansion, they have a newly created role for a Manufacturing Facilities Manager to join their growing team on a permanent full-time basis.

You will be responsible for… Recruiting and raising the available skill level in the plant. Identifying productivity gains and implementation. Identifying machinery upgrade opportunities to improve productivity and safety. Ensuring that workstations are operating at maximum efficiency. Leaning manufacturing processes and 5S principles are maintained.

Working with the National WHS Coordinator to ensure that safety standards remain high, while maintaining full safety compliance at all times. Developing and implementing best practice operating procedures. Utilizing knowledge of manufacturing machinery and equipment and ensuring that maintenance schedules are met. What the company needs… Prior experience in the timber manufacturing industry or a related field is highly beneficial, as well as being self-motivated and having a goal-oriented attitude to work as a team and achieve optimal productivity.

Further skill sets desired by the company include: Prior experience in identifying and implementing productivity improvements in a manufacturing environment Prior experience working with timber and nail guns. Have a hands-on approach to leading a team. This task requires the employment of knowledgeable individuals who can establish standard operating procedures.
