Geisinger is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Infectious Disease physician to join our team at Geisinger Community Medical Center (GCMC) in Scranton, Pennsylvania. GCMC is a 293-bed acute care hospital serving Lackawanna County and communities throughout Northeastern Pennsylvania. The medical center offers broad specialty support and a Level II trauma center.

Job Duties: Diagnose and manage a broad range of infectious diseases Provide evidence-based antimicrobial treatment and management Evaluate patients with complex infections, unexplained fevers and other infectious disease conditions Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, specialists and other clinical professionals Participate in Geisinger’s educational and quality improvement mission Have opportunities to work with residents and medical students Position Details: MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Disease Completion of an Infectious Disease fellowship Commitment to excellent patient care and safety Strong communication and collaboration skills Education: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine- (Required) Experience: Certification(s) and License(s): Licensed Medical Doctor
