Department: Administration Schedule/Status: Days; Full Time Standard Hours/Week: 40 Location: Titusville General Description: The General Contract & Executive Business Specialist is responsible for promoting and demonstrating Parrish Healthcare’s Culture of Choice® and for supporting the General Contract Management, Board Committees, Provider Recruitment, and other executive business functions as assigned.
This position reports to Senior Vice President, Administration/Chief Transformation Officer. The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice® and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Administers enterprise-wide contract administration program.
- Responsible for the overall coordination and performance management of assigned contracts.
- Responsible for drafting provider employment agreements, medical directorship agreements, and independent provider contract agreements.
- Evaluates general contracts’ performance to determine the necessity for amendments or extensions of contracts and compliance to contractual obligations.
- Ensures timely general contract execution by the parties; ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations and comply with established general contracting policies as well as all applicable laws and regulations.
- Facilitates contract management review steering committee and requisite annual contract performance reviews with vendors in accordance with Joint Commission standard
- Coordinates the review of terms, conditions and the assignment of appropriate legal counsel as necessary and appropriate.
- Reviews contractor and consultant invoices of assigned contracts against contract terms for accuracy.
- Prepares status reports and briefs management on issues or problems.
- Generates reports on contract and subcontract activity as required.
- Assists management in preparing procedural changes and in the resolution of contract-related problems.
- Lead and support audits, as appropriate, with internal and external audit teams and agencies to support contract-related activities and verify compliance.
- Maintains skills and knowledge within professional practice.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
- Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area Requirements: Formal Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Business, Contract Management, Paralegal, or related field. Work Experience:
- 3 years to < 5 years Healthcare, paralegal or accounting experience a plus. Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:
