Fire Alarm Service Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Technician to join our growing team in Golden, Colorado.

Position Summary

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining fire alarm systems in commercial environments. Candidates should possess strong technical and analytical abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time, performance-based position operating Monday through Friday with participation in an on-call rotation schedule.

Remote work and relocation assistance are not available. Duties & Responsibilities: Service, troubleshoot, inspect, and test fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA standards Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work orders, and technical documents Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, vendors, and AHJs Utilize hand tools, power tools, laptops, and mobile devices in daily operations Complete work orders, inspection reports, and service documentation accurately and on time Use Honeywell CLSS software and other industry technologies Maintain organized inventory, vehicle stock, and job materials Participate in weekly safety meetings and ongoing technical training Follow company safety standards, vehicle policies, and PPE requirements Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites and company vehicles Support a positive team environment while delivering exceptional customer service Qualifications Preferred Certifications & Experience NICET II Certification or higher Denver Fire Alarm Installer License Backflow Certification Additional industry certifications are a plus Required Skills Strong fire alarm troubleshooting and service experience Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities Computer proficiency and ability to multitask Ability to work independently and under pressure Strong attendance, punctuality, and professionalism Ability to comply with all Federal, State, and local codes Requirements Valid driver’s license with clean driving record Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screening Physical Requirements Ability to repeatedly lift and carry equipment up to 80 lbs Ability to safely use ladders up to 28 feet Ability to work in construction and commercial environments throughout the day Benefits: Company Vehicle & Fuel Card Company Cell Phone & Laptop Home Depot Card Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance Coverage begins the 1st of the month following hire 401(k) Auto-enrollment at 6% beginning on second paycheck Annual 1% auto-escalation 80 Hours Vacation Accrual Company-Paid Training Opportunities 6 Paid Holidays About Vulcan Fire: Vulcan Fire is a Colorado-based leader in the design, installation, inspection, monitoring, and maintenance of life safety systems.
