Some people can’t imagine doing what we do. We can’t imagine not doing it! We are looking for an Accounting Generalist to join VOA Oklahoma. The Accounting Generalist will provide administrative and accounting support for the Accounting Department. This position assists with accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with entry of invoices, billing, and receipts as needed. Weekly processing of credit cards to ensure accuracy. Working with administrative and program staff to ensure all receipts are uploaded and approved. Tracking recurring expenses to ensure timely and accurate payment (leases, utilities, subscriptions, etc). Research discrepancies with billing, invoicing, or general ledger with the assistance of the Interim Director of Accounting and other Accounting staff. Train on Medicaid billing. Maintain confidentiality of financial, client, and employee information and data.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: Experience with accounting software systems. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office Suite including advanced knowledge of Excel. Experience with accounts payable, billing, and account reconciliations.

Experience with non-profit accounting and accrual accounting strongly preferred.

Education

& Experience: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field. Two or more years of accounting experience. This job is office based. Must maintain a valid driver's license, reliable transportation and auto liability insurance. The employee is required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for prolonged periods.
