Your Responsibilities
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for: Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and jobs, primarily using Databricks Building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS) Working with Databricks Jobs, pipelines, Unity Catalog, and Databricks Asset Bundles Collecting, cleaning, transforming, and loading data for analytics and reporting Developing data solutions using Python, Py.
Spark, and Pandas Applying strong engineering practices, including unit testing and code reviews Working in a professional data environment with data governance, CI/CD pipelines, and Git integration Collaborating within Agile/Scrum and DevOps teams Contributing to the optimization of data platforms in terms of performance, scalability, and reliability Your Profile We are looking for a candidate with: A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a comparable role Strong hands-on experience with Databricks , including Jobs, pipelines, Unity Catalog, and Asset Bundles Solid programming skills in Python, including experience with Py.
Spark and Pandas Experience working in data-governed environments, including CI/CD, version control (Git), and automation A background in software development or computer science is a strong plus Affinity with and knowledge of mathematics and statistics Familiarity with Scrum, Agile, and DevOps ways of working A proactive, positive, and eager-to-learn mindset Fluency in English and Dutch is a bonus What We Offer A company lease car with fuel card Hybrid working possibilities A monthly net expense allowance 27 vacation days, with the option to purchase up to 10 additional days A pension scheme with no personal contribution Why Choose SDG Nederland?
