ServiceNow Sr. Developer / Tech Lead

Description Centennial Technologies is seeking a Service. Now Senior Developer / Technical Lead to support the design, development, and implementation of Service. Now solutions for federal clients. This role serves as a hands-on technical leader , responsible for guiding development efforts, ensuring best practices, and delivering scalable, high-quality Service.

Now capabilities. Unlike an Architect, this role is execution-focused , with responsibility for solution implementation, team guidance, and technical quality , rather than enterprise-wide architecture ownership.

Requirements

Lead the design and development of Service. Now solutions across modules such as ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, or custom applications Translate business and functional requirements into technical solutions and platform configurations Serve as a technical lead for development teams , providing guidance, mentorship, and code reviews Develop and customize Service.

Now applications using: Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, Client Scripts, Flow Designer, Integration. Hub, and Automation workflows Support integration efforts with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and third-party tools Ensure adherence to Service. Now best practices , coding standards, and platform governance Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies , sprint planning, and backlog refinement Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the platform Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to align solutions with overall platform strategy Support testing activities , including unit testing, system testing, and deployment validation Contribute to documentation , including technical design documents and implementation guides Required Qualifications 5–8+ years of experience in Service.

Now development and implementation Strong hands-on experience with: JavaScript, Glide API, Service. Now scripting, Core Service. Now modules, (ITSM required; others preferred) Experience developing custom applications and workflows on the Service. Now platform Proven ability to lead development efforts or serve as a technical point of contact Experience with integrations (REST, SOAP, APIs, MID Server) Familiarity with Agile development methodologies Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Preferred Qualifications Experience with additional Service.

Now modules such as: ITOM, CSM, HRSD, Sec. Ops, GRC Experience in federal or public sector environments Familiarity with platform upgrades, releases, and instance management Exposure to DevOps/DevSecOps practices within Service. Now delivery Experience mentoring junior developers or leading small teams Certifications Service.

Now Certified System Administrator ( required ) Service. Now Certified application Developer ( preferred ) Additional Service. Now certifications (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, CSM) are a plus Clearance Requirements U.S. Citizenship required Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) Work Conditions Location: Hybrid – At least 4 days onsite in Tysons Corner, VA.
