In-process Inspector (Weekend)
Job description
Summary: We are hiring an In‑Process Inspector to join our team and play a hands‑on role in ensuring the quality of products that make a real impact. In this position, you’ll perform dimensional, mechanical, and electrical inspections throughout the manufacturing process, using your mechanical aptitude and precision skills to keep our production running at its best.
You’ll work closely with supportive teams, interpret technical drawings, and document your findings with accuracy and confidence. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and takes pride in delivering high‑quality work. If you're comfortable with measurement tools, computer applications, and have experience in manufacturing or quality, this could be the opportunity for you.
Weekend Shift: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 AM to 6:00 PM Key Responsibilities: Perform repetitive dimensional and electrical inspections using basic test equipment and established procedures with minimal supervision. Apply mechanical aptitude and maintain accurate, thorough records as an integral part of daily duties.
Interpret engineering drawings and written work instructions. Use precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and electrical test equipment. Ensure high accuracy and attention to detail in all inspection tasks. Work collaboratively across various teams and manufacturing areas based on business needs.
Demonstrate strong mathematical abilities and computer literacy across multiple applications. Lift up to 35 lbs. as required. Attend offsite training as needed to maintain certification requirements (e.g., J-STD). Plan, schedule, and execute assigned tasks efficiently while minimizing production delays. Interface professionally with customer representatives when needed.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing or quality preferred. Proficiency in mechanical measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, optical comparator). Ability to interpret technical drawings and instructions accurately. Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and analytical skills.
IPC or J-Standard certification preferred.
