COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER (Multiple Openings Available) NRV EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS REGIONAL AUTHORITY New River Valley Emergency Communications Regional Authority has immediate openings for a Communications Officer (Night Shift). Customary responsibilities include technical work ensuring prompt answer of incoming emergency and non-emergency requests for law enforcement, fire & emergency medical services, and dispatch of appropriate responders.

Communications Officers monitor a variety of radio frequencies and serve as a vital communication link to field units deployed, in addition to other tasks. Minimum starting salary $42,600/year plus $2.00/hour night shift differential between 7:00 pm and 7:00 am. Certified/experienced candidates pay depending on qualifications.
